For the past three years the Center for Faculty Development has sponsored the “Faculty Research Forum” (FRF) for faculty to collaborate, support, exchange research ideas and offer suggestions for individuals writing an article for a peer reviewed journal or a book chapter. The goal is for each attendee to dedicate time and hopefully complete a finished “manuscript” by the end of the academic year. (Over the three years, 25 faculty who participated successfully completed a manuscript.) A small stipend is awarded to those who complete their manuscript. In addition, all who registered received a copy of Wendy Belcher’s book “Writing Your Journal Article in 12 Weeks.”

Available to adjuncts as well as full-time faculty, the 2014-2015 Forum is offered at the Midtown Campus on: October 10th (9:00-11:00AM), November 7th (9:00-11:00AM), January 30th (9:00 – 11:00), March 6th (9:00 – 11:00) and April 24th (12:30 – 2:30). A commitment to attend all sessions is required.

TO APPLY:
Send your name and a brief description of your proposed research topic to Jim Stenerson ([email protected]). “Graduates” of the previous Forums can sign up and attend again, understanding that first-time applicants will receive preference. DEADLINE: September 19th.
